Keyword Discovery Review
Posted in Keyword Software Reviews on 22. Mar, 2010
There are actually 2 types of keyword researchers. First is the type that understands that keyword research is important but never really place it as the central strategy of their whole website. The other type of keyword researcher is the one that obsesses over every keyword their website has to rank for. They see it as a war against the other websites. So, they have to be constantly researching for more keywords to dominate.
If you belong to the keyword obsessed group, keyword discovery is just the right tool for you.
Let’s take a look at the feature list of Keyword Discovery:
- it gets its data from more than 200 search engines, which definitely includes the Big 3
- they have keyword databases of shopping sites (ebay, amazon) that shows you what products people are searching for to buy
- there are keyword databases for specific countries
- they even have data on searches on news sites
If you read through that list, you can understand how powerful this piece of keyword tool is. It totally blows all the other competitors out of the water.
Although it is a powerful keyword tool, the interface are wonderfully simple to use. When performing the keyword research, you even have the option of choosing “Related’ or “Fuzzy” to increase the chances of finding new keywords.
Another thing about it is its speed. It’s as if it hosts the databases locally on my machine because when clicked to get the keywords of 1000 results, it displayed in under 5 seconds.
If you ever find the need to go up to 10,000 keyword results, then their Enterprise API is more suited for you. Don’t think that it will come cheap at all.
The only disadvantage is its pricing. It is the most expensive among all its counterparts. However, since it is such a powerful tool, I’m sure that I wouldn’t mind paying for a pricier tool. Besides, you can get a huge discount if you pay for 12 months up front.
It’s a huge savings if you are a keyword researcher that is crazy about your rankings.
If you are still starting out with your first website, it may not be wise to plop down so much money on a huge beast. You may want to stick with the free keyword tools first before deciding to invest in Keyword Discovery.
